PC Repair & Consultancy Clients

  • Name, email, phone number, and physical address (for our Free Collection & Delivery service across Essex).

  • Device details (make, model, OS).

  • Access credentials (if required, stored securely and deleted when no longer needed).

  • Service notes and diagnostics.

Business IT Setup Clients

  • Business name and contact person(s).

  • IT infrastructure details and credentials where required.

E-Commerce Customers (Online Store)

  • Name, email, phone number, billing/delivery address.

  • Order history.

  • Payment details (processed securely by Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay—we never see full card numbers).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Deliver the repairs, upgrades, or products you’ve requested.

  • Communicate about your support request or order status.

  • Fulfil orders (including passing delivery details to trusted shipping partners).

  • Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations. We never sell your data. Marketing emails are only sent if you have explicitly opted in.

3. Data Retention

  • General enquiries: up to 12 months.

  • Service/repair records: up to 3 years after last interaction.

  • E-commerce orders: up to 6 years (HMRC requirement).

  • Credentials: deleted immediately once no longer required.

1. Services & Store

LaunchLayer provides local PC/laptop repairs and upgrades, small business IT consultancy, and the sale of PC components and accessories.

2. Payment & Quotes

  • We accept Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and major credit/debit cards.

  • Repairs are backed by our No-Fix, No-Fee guarantee. If we cannot find a solution or a repair is not cost-effective, you owe nothing for labor.

  • Diagnostics are provided free of charge.

3. Orders & Fulfilment

Orders are processed by LaunchLayer Ltd and may be shipped directly by trusted fulfilment partners. We reserve the right to cancel or refund an order in cases of stock errors or pricing mistakes.

4. Liability & Data Responsibility

  • Data Loss: While we take every precaution to secure your data, customers are responsible for ensuring they have a backup of their data prior to any repair or upgrade. LaunchLayer Ltd is not liable for data loss during the diagnostic or repair process unless caused by our direct negligence.

  • Indirect Loss: We are not liable for indirect losses or delays outside our reasonable control (e.g., courier delays).

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

3. Returns Policy

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase from the LaunchLayer store.

  • 14-Day Return Window: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from delivery to cancel your purchase for a full refund.

  • Condition: Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in a resellable condition.

  • Faulty Goods: If an item is faulty or damaged upon arrival, it can be returned at no cost to you for a full refund or replacement.

  • Process: To start a return, please email hello@launchlayer.uk with your order number.

  • Refunds: Once received and inspected, refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
